All About Layering 4: Lesson 1

This is my first card in the AECP ALL ABOUT LAYERING 4 class.  I learned a lot about placement of blooms and sentiments.  I love the idea of using washi tape to cover the bottom half of the sentiment.  I will try that later in Layering 4.  for this Card I decided to use a die that creates a shadow all around the word Hello.

Supply list:

Craft Your Life:  Always Sunshine and Ethereal Roses by Altenew

Ink:  Pure Graphite, Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubelite, Firefly, Grass Field

Stained Glass Background Die by Pinkfresh and Big Hello by Poppy Stamps

Here's how I made it.

First cut an A2 size card panel out of white cardstock.  Next cut the stained glass background die out of green metallic cardstock and glue to the white panel.  Then, die cut the word Hello using Mat Metalic green for the outline and Purple cardstock for the inset slim hello.

Next:  stamp the outline from Always Sunshine with Pure Graphite.

Color with the listed colors.  You can save the large blooms for use on another card.  The vine, which appears uncolored in the above photo is the only part of this stamp you will use.
Color and die cut two copies of the vine and set aside.

Next:  layer stamp the flowers from Ethereal Roses and die cut.  I stamped multiple images to be sure I'd have enough to layer on my card.

Lay out the hello at an angle (don't glue down yet)  then layer the vines and flowers, moving them around until they look the way you want.  Put a piece of removable tape across the flowers, t
his keeps them in place so you can lift them, flip them over and apply glue to the backside.   Then position them on top of the card panel and press them into place.  Remove the tape and check to see if any of the flowers need a little extra glue.  You can gently lift and glue them into place.
Glue the Hello down.  Glue the panel to a card base and you're done.
