Hello and thanks for visiting my Blog. This is lesson two in the ACEP Layering 4 class. It was a fun card for me to make. I hope you like it.
Supplies:
Candystripe Cosmos Layering stamp and die set from Altenew
A sentiment die from your stash
A2 White Card Base
Patterned cardstock layer cut to A2 size and a complimenting piece of cardstock cut to 1.25"x 5.25"
Altenew Inks: Pure Graphite, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Firefly, Grassfield, shadow Creek, Sagestone, Buttercream, Peachy Keen
Start by stamping the outline stamp in Pure Graphite. Then line up the A1 stamp and lay down the Rouge. The A2 stamp adds detail in Crimson. Last but not least, The A3 stamp will line up to give definition to the tips in Velvet. The stem with that daring leaf jutting out of the side gets Firefly, Grassfield and Shadow Creek using stamps C1, C2 and C3 in that order. I chose not to use the C4 stamp. The center of the flower gets Buttercream, Peachy Keen and Velvet on stamps B1, B2 and B3, in that order. Such a pretty flower, I made more than I needed. I can use the extras on other cards.
You start with that A2 card base and then cut the front flap to 1.5"
I used a piece of red cardstock to cut out the 'Thank You' sentiment die that I found in my stash. I cut this out twice and glued the two die cuts on top of each other. This a great way to seamlessly pop up a die cut with intricate lines.
Next you will glue the patterned cardstock pieces you cut onto the card. The larger piece will go on the inside of the card. You may have to trim a bit off the long edge to allow the card to fold correctly. simply line up the decorative sheet slightly off center, flip the card over and use your scissors to trim off any excess.
Good luck with your project. Here's a second look at mine.
