Hi. Thank you for checking out my blog. I am crafting my way through the Altenew Academy. I have created lots of cards that I'd be happy to find in my mail box. Here's my latest creation and how I made it.
Love this layering stamp set. At first glance it looks challenging to align all the stamps but that part turned out to be pretty simple. Love the sentiment style. In this lesson, I learned how to cut that tag so that the angles line up with precision. Let's get started!
Supplies:
- Altenew layering die set: Birds of the Season
- Ink: Jet Black, Bamboo, Parrot, Grass Field, Blush, Limestone, Paper Bag, Burnt Red
- A2 Card Base
- Black Cardstock cut to 4.25 x 5.5
- White Cardstock cut to 4 z 5.25
- Decorative Cardstock cut to 4 z 1.5
- Decorative Cardstock cut to 4 x .25
Next you add the pear. I stamped the pear with Grass field and used blush on the stamp that looks like half a pear.
The Birds of the Seasons stamp set comes with three different bird choices. I stamped this one left to right to illustrate how you get eventually get something that looks like a bird. The first stamp uses the color Limestone. Next comes the cheek stamp that adds Burnt Red. The body stamp is Paper Bag and when you stamp the last image in black you get a bird with an eyeball, a beak and tail feathers. Nice.
This set comes with a die to cut out the birds. I also cut two extra blank birds that I glued together so that it gives a popped up look.
Check out the Sentiment. I found the "Have A Nice Day" stamp in my stash. Look at how the Layers are all Cut at the same angle. I learned the easiest way to do that is to line all the layers up together. Make the cut and then shift each to the left to expose the one underneath, the angles are precise. Love it!
Super sweet!
