Hello and thanks ever so much for visiting my blog. Here's my first post. Enjoy!
Altenew Delightful Day Carnation Stamp and Die set
White Cardstock
Vellum
Sentiment Stamp or Die: Your choice.
Decorative Die for background. I used one from my stash
Altenew Inks: Wisteria, Andromeda and and Hydrangea for the flower. Firefly and Grass Field for the leaves.
A card base that is 5"x7"
I love to make the flower first. It comes out so pretty that it's inspiration for the rest of the card. This is a layering stamp so I stamped the base and then layered on color with each additional stamp, starting with the lightest color first. There are four layers to this set. I liked the look with three layers, so I didn't use the fourth. Next layer color on the leaves and cut them out.
Once the flower is done, use the die to cut it out. I wanted to pop it up and my favorite way to do this is to cut blanks out of white cardstock and glue them together. My paper is heavy weigh, so three cuts glued together gets the job done.
Next I stamped the sentiment: "Wish you a pleasant day" on Black Cardstock and cut it out using a Sizzix Thinlet die by Tim Holtz.
First, glue the background vellum piece to the bard blank. next place the flower onto the card to check placement. When you're happy with where you put the flower and the sentiment, glue them in place.
Yay! You now have a beautiful card to send to someone special. They're gonna love it.
I love this card. So pretty!
